Humanist marriage ceremonies are set for legalisation, according to Mair Garland, a humanist celebrant. Ms Garland expressed this in a response to an article by Rachel Connolly published on 29 July.
Ms Garland addressed Ms Connolly's impression that humanist ceremonies might be a compromise to traditional religious weddings. She stated that humanist celebrants are dedicated to creating meaningful non-religious ceremonies tailored to couples and their families.
Ms Garland also noted that non-religious ceremonies do not have to be unceremonious or casual.
