The support for these protests extended across India, encompassing major cities such as Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, and Bengaluru, as well as smaller towns. The letter states that the protests were entirely peaceful, attributing this to the ethos of the demonstrations and the CJP.
The author suggests that mainstream media, including print and TV, suppressed coverage of these events or distorted them to imply violence. This is said to reflect significant public grievances and concerns about democracy.
