Police in Idaho have released video footage of a mass shooting that occurred last weekend at an In-N-Out Burger restaurant, where three people were killed. The video, released on Friday, shows the chaotic scene and the actions of several individuals who confronted the gunman.
According to Twin Falls police chief Matthew Hicks, ten people were shot in total, with victims located inside the restaurant, directly outside, on an adjacent road, and at a car charging station. The gunman, identified as Chad Williams, 24, walked up to the drive-thru window four times and opened fire, killing an In-N-Out employee.
Chief Hicks praised an unarmed employee from a nearby store who engaged Williams outdoors, stating that this action likely slowed him down and potentially prevented further deaths. The video also shows at least three people confronting the gunman with their own weapons. An off-duty state trooper and a former police officer, AJ James, were also commended for their actions during the incident.
Williams killed himself when police officers caught up to him on a nearby walking trail. Investigators currently do not have a motive for the shooting. The victims have been identified as Ashley Garibay, 23, Dale Schultz, 66, and Christopher Claunch, 59.
