Rumour mills are churning out a mouth-watering menu of A-list names tipped for the jungle, with ITV's 'I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!' already generating more heat than a blistering Aussie summer. As the countdown begins to the 26th series, whispers are circulating about a star-studded line-up that promises to be the most explosive yet.
The pressure is on producers to deliver an unbeatable roster after the BBC's 'The Celebrity Traitors' set the bar high with its second successful outing. The long-running 'I'm a Celebrity', which first slid into our screens in 2002, has consistently served up show-stopping moments and record-breaking ratings.
Olympic legend Christopher Dean is reportedly being wooed by ITV for his maiden jungle adventure. The 67-year-old ice-skating icon, fresh from hanging up his skates at the tender age of 65, could be about to trade in his blades for a bushy beard and some seriously squelchy terrain.
Another tantalising prospect is Nadiya Bychkova, the pint-sized powerhouse who has been lighting up the Strictly ballroom since her debut back in 2017. With her schedule looking surprisingly clear after reportedly leaving 'Strictly', could this fiery dancer be about to swap tango for trials by fire? Not so fast – sources suggest she's still got ties to the show, and might just have to brush off those dancing shoes just yet.
Meanwhile, Mis-Teeq's Su-Elise Nash is cooking up a reunion with her girl-group mates in September. Insiders hint this could be the perfect recipe for a jungle debut – minus the harmonies, of course! Cricket ace Ben Stokes has also been touted as a contender after hanging up his bat in June. Perri Kiely, the Diversity star-turned-KISS radio presenter, has previously stated he'd jump at the chance if his schedule allows, while Olivia Attwood – who infamously had to withdraw from last year's series just 24 hours in – is still keen on giving it another go.
'I'm a Celebrity', available to stream on ITVX after its broadcast, remains one of Britain's autumn TV sweet spots, drawing millions of viewers hooked on the chaos and camaraderie within that infamous jungle camp. With the competition heating up in reality TV land, can Ant & Dec's flagship show continue to deliver the magic we've come to expect?
