Troy Grevelding, who was attending the event with his wife, brother, and eight-year-old niece, described the man as appearing intoxicated and having been disruptive earlier in the evening.
Grevelding stated that the individual allegedly began urinating on him and his family, striking them directly. Upon turning around to confront the perpetrator, they reportedly observed the man exposing himself. A brief altercation ensued before the family left the concert area and alerted venue security.
Initially, officers on the scene informed Grevelding that an immediate arrest could not be made as they had not personally witnessed the incident. However, a video circulating on social media appears to contradict this statement. The Maryland Transportation Authority Police has since confirmed that an "active and open criminal investigation into this matter" is currently in progress.
This incident follows several other controversies associated with Morgan Wallen's current tour, supporting his album 'I'm The Problem', released last year. Earlier in June, the mayor of Pittsburgh disputed Wallen's claims regarding the cancellation of a show, stating that city public safety officials were not consulted. Additionally, during previous concerts on the tour, Wallen has been seen throwing a security guard's phone and reportedly flipped over a piano due to technical difficulties.
The alleged urination incident also comes amid growing concerns over concert etiquette and hygiene this summer.
