Fashion designer Isaac Mizrahi is preparing for his latest cabaret act, 'Hooray!', which will run for four nights this month at the 54 Below venue in midtown New York. Mizrahi, who has held New York residencies for the past decade, finds the show's cheerful title reflects his mood as summer ends and World Cup crowds depart the city.
Mizrahi's connection to the stage dates back decades, with solo acts performed consistently since his off-Broadway debut in 2000. He expressed a desire to be known as a performer, having attended the High School of Performing Arts before his career in fashion.
Next month, a 4K restoration of Mizrahi’s 1995 film "Unzipped" will open in the US. The Sundance winner, which documents his 1994 fall collection, features cameos from figures such as Naomi Campbell and Kate Moss. Mizrahi worked to secure the rights for its re-release, considering it a significant landmark in his life and legacy.
