Liverpool mounted a spirited comeback to defeat Brentford, who saw two players sent off during the Premier League clash. The victory propels Liverpool into fifth place in the league table.
Brentford, whose unbeaten start to the season has now concluded, were leading 1-0 when midfielder Yehor Yarmolyuk was shown a red card for a head-butt on Jérémy Jacquet just before half-time. Later in the game, Vitaly Janelt also received a second yellow card, leaving Brentford with nine men.
Liverpool's attack, valued at nearly £400m, found their rhythm in the second half. Florian Wirtz assisted Victor Muñoz for the equaliser, and Bradley Barcola then set up Alexander Isak, who completed the turnaround with a goal in the 70th minute.
