Wrexham are poised to secure Issa Kabore on a permanent deal from Manchester City, following his successful loan spell last season. The 25-year-old Burkina Faso international featured 32 times across all competitions for the Red Dragons during the 2025-26 campaign.
Kabore registered eight assists in the Championship, more than any other Wrexham player. This move would mark his permanent exit from Manchester City after seven loan stints away from the Etihad Stadium.
The right-back, who operated as a wing-back for Wrexham, joined the club on transfer deadline day last September. He leaves Manchester City without having made a single senior appearance for the club since his 2020 transfer from Mechelen.
Wrexham manager Phil Parkinson has already brought in full-back Danny Imray, goalkeeper Anthony Patterson, and midfielder Ben Whiteman this summer. Parkinson is reportedly keen to further strengthen his wing-back options, and could also sign a centre-back and an attacking midfielder before the 1 September transfer deadline.
