Everton have secured the services of Jack Grealish for a second consecutive season, bringing the England international back to Hill Dickinson Stadium on loan. This move effectively signals the conclusion of Grealish's Manchester City tenure, as he is in the final year of his contract at the Etihad Stadium.
The 30-year-old midfielder, who spent last season on loan at Everton, expressed his happiness to return, stating he feels "loved" by manager David Moyes, his teammates, and the fans. Grealish previously made four assists in his first two starts for Everton last season, earning the Premier League Player of the Month award for August before an injury cut his season short in January.
Grealish becomes Everton's sixth summer signing and effectively replaces Iliman Ndiaye, who transferred to the FA Cup winners for an initial £60m. He noted that Moyes was a significant reason for his desire to return, placing the manager in a category of those under whom he has played his best football.
