Rugby union hooker Jack Singleton is targeting a return to full training next month, a year after experiencing a heart attack. The 29-year-old, who played one Prem Cup game for Gloucester in September 2025 before the incident, is now seeking a new club to continue his career.
Singleton was diagnosed with a hereditary condition, LPA, which led to elevated LDL cholesterol and blockages in his arteries. He stated that the condition, which his father also had, is managed through medication rather than diet and exercise.
Despite not playing rugby since the heart attack, Singleton received a rolling contract from Gloucester until June 2026 for rehabilitation. He will not be part of Gloucester's squad for the upcoming campaign and is actively looking for another team to join.
