Hollywood actor Jeff Goldblum has been announced as the first host for the new season of Saturday Night Live UK. Irish musician CMAT will appear as the musical guest for the premiere episode.
The British spin-off of the US sketch comedy show is set to return for its second season on September 12. An initial run of six episodes is planned, with more scheduled for 2027.
Goldblum, known for films such as Jurassic Park, has previously hosted the US version of SNL in 1993 and 1997. CMAT recently released a live EP and had success with her album ‘Euro-Country’ last year.
The show, which debuted on Sky One in March, has featured hosts including Tina Fey, Jamie Dornan, Riz Ahmed, and Nicola Coughlan, with musical acts such as Wet Leg, Kasabian, Foo Fighters, and MEEK.
