Students across Jersey and Guernsey have received their GCSE results today, 20 August 2026. In Jersey, 77.1% of results were graded 4-9 (equivalent to C and above), with 26.7% achieving the highest grades of 7-9 (A/A*).
Overall results for Guernsey students are still expected. Careers advisers were on hand in both islands to help students plan their future steps.
Victoria College in Jersey reported its Year 11 pupils were in the top 25% of UK schools for student progress, achieving its highest level of top grades in its history, with grades nine and eight making up about a third of all grades.
Le Rocquier School also stated its students achieved "outstanding examination successes," with many exceeding their expectations.
In 2025, 72% of all GCSE and equivalent results in Guernsey were graded 4 and above. In Jersey, 70.4% of students achieved standard passes (4/C+) in English and mathematics in 2025, which was higher than the 67.1% of all GCSE results at grade 4 and above in England for the same year.
