Comedian John Bishop has cancelled several upcoming events after breaking his ankle in a motorbike accident. The incident occurred on 30 August while Bishop was riding with astronaut Tim Peake.

Among the cancelled engagements are a live comedy gig scheduled for 11 September at Somerset County Cricket Club's ground in Taunton, where he was due to perform alongside Justin Moorhouse and Sally-Anne Hayward. Bishop will also no longer participate in Sir Chris Hoy's Tour de 4 charity bike ride in Glasgow.

Bishop shared on social media that his foot was "looking a bit fat" and the bruising was visible. He stated on Thursday that he would be seeing a specialist this weekend for a "clearer view on how it's going to heal."

Jamie Cox, chief executive of Somerset County Cricket Club, confirmed that full refunds would be offered to all ticket purchasers for the Taunton show. Cox expressed disappointment but emphasised that Bishop's wellbeing was the primary concern.

What this means for you: If you purchased tickets for John Bishop's comedy gig at Somerset County Cricket Club on 11 September, you will be offered a full refund.
