Journey drummer Deen Castronovo was hospitalised after suffering a medical emergency on Thursday during the band's concert in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was removed from the stage after performing two songs.
Keyboardist Jonathan Cain addressed the audience, stating, "Have your prayers ready for Deen Castronovo, everybody." Guitarist Neal Schon later confirmed Castronovo was being taken to hospital and that the concert would proceed with drum technician Steve Toomey.
Lead singer Arnel Pineda asked the crowd to pray for Castronovo, adding, "He's gonna be fine. Too much Gatorade." Schon also dedicated the concert to Castronovo, expressing hope for his recovery.
