An old clip featuring Julia Roberts discussing advice from the late Dolly Parton about complaining has resurfaced online. The country music legend passed away on August 25 at the age of 80 following a brief battle with cancer.
Roberts, who worked with Parton on the 1989 drama 'Steel Magnolias', recounted the advice during an appearance on The Oprah Winfrey Show. She recalled the intense heat during production and noted Parton was the only cast member not complaining.
Roberts quoted Parton as saying, "When I was a little girl, I wanted to be famous and I wanted to be rich, and now I’m both those things. I’m not going to complain about it." Roberts stated she has "never forgotten" the advice, which helps her remain quiet when she feels like complaining.
Since Parton's death, numerous tributes have been shared, including musicians covering her songs and written messages from artists such as Elton John, Paul McCartney, and Taylor Swift. Streams of Parton’s hits have also reportedly increased by over 2,000 per cent.
