Comedian Kemah Bob is currently performing her new show, 'Love Child', at Pleasance Courtyard in Edinburgh. The show, which runs until August 30, is described as an "open-hearted inquiry" into her origins and childhood.

Unlike her 2024 debut, 'Miss Fortunate', which was a story about a trip to Thailand, 'Love Child' delves into Bob's background as the child of a poor Black family in the southern US, descendants of slavery. Bob reportedly uses the show to explore misgivings about her comedy career, questioning if she is leading a grown-up life.

The performance features jokes about her upbringing, including inheriting "dick-sucking lips" from her father and sharing sex toys with her mother as an adult. Bob also reflects on her parents' and grandfather's lives, including her grandfather's promiscuous nature and addictive personality.
