Kieran Hayler, 39, has told jurors at Lewes Crown Court that he thought his ex-wife Katie Price was "coaching" a 13-year-old girl he is accused of raping. Mr Hayler said he discovered messages sent by Ms Price to the alleged victim, which he photographed.
He is on trial accused of three counts of rape and one count of sexual assault involving the teenager in West Sussex in 2016. Giving evidence on Thursday, Mr Hayler denied the allegations, stating: "I believe they've been fabricated."
Mr Hayler told the court that trust had broken down in his marriage to Ms Price by mid-2013, and he admitted to having affairs with three other women. He also claimed Ms Price had been unfaithful during their relationship.
He pleaded not guilty to four alternative counts of sexual activity with a child after the close of the prosecution case. Judge Mark van der Zwart informed jurors that these alternative charges were added to the indictment for their consideration.
