A Paris court has awarded Kim Kardashian €1 in damages for an armed robbery she experienced in the French capital in 2016. This amount was the compensation she had requested, according to a lawyer involved in the case.
Last year, the court found eight individuals guilty for their roles in the robbery. Kardashian and stylist Simone Harouche, who was present during the incident, expressed gratitude to the French justice system in a joint statement, noting that the decision was about accountability and recognition rather than compensation.
The court also awarded €109,516 to a former receptionist at the Hôtel de Pourtalès, where the robbery occurred. His lawyer welcomed the decision, stating the receptionist had been traumatised by the jewel heist. Simone Harouche was also awarded €1, the amount she had requested.
During the 2016 robbery, two individuals dressed as police officers reportedly forced their way into Kardashian’s suite, bound her, and stole over $6m in jewellery.
