'Putney pusher' suspect Nicholas Brandram found dead at home

Nicholas Brandram, the man suspected of pushing a woman into the path of a bus on Putney Bridge in 2017, has been found dead at his home. Mr Brandram, 44, was under investigation in connection with the incident.

He was arrested in June 2026 on suspicion of attempted grievous bodily harm and was released under investigation last week. Officers and paramedics attended his property in Chiswick after he was found unresponsive on Tuesday evening.

The Metropolitan Police stated that his death is being treated as unexpected, but is not believed to be suspicious. His next-of-kin have been informed.
