Irish chart-toppers Kingfishr have found an unlikely connection with English League One club Wycombe Wanderers, leading to the band's lead singer, Eddie Keogh, being a special guest at Adams Park this week. The band's tribute song to the club, inspired by playing the 16-year-old video game Fifa 11, has garnered over 190,000 views on TikTok.

Keogh attended the club's 4-1 EFL Trophy victory against Bristol Rovers on Tuesday night, an appearance first reported by Irish sports site Balls.ie. Upon his arrival, the song was played over the tannoy, and he was later presented with a club shirt featuring 'Kingfishr 1' on the back.

A Wycombe Wanderers spokesperson told BBC News NI that discovering the song was "brilliant" and expressed hope it might become a "terrace anthem." The spokesperson added that Kingfishr "are welcome back to Adams Park at any time."
