Kneecap and Tom Morello have unveiled their collaboration, 'Unconquered', a track described as Rage Against The Machine-coded. The song is featured on Morello's new solo album, 'Everyone Gets Everything They Want', which was released on Friday, September 25, via Mom + Pop.
'Unconquered' combines Morello's distinctive guitar work with electronic percussion and rapid-fire verses from Mo Chara and Móglaí Bap, delivered in both Irish and English. Morello stated the track was intended to embody an enduring spirit of opposition.
Morello, who has previously called Kneecap "the Rage Against The Machine of now," explained that he gave the trio three requirements for the collaboration: it had to be titled 'Unconquered', feature a devastating hook, and be capable of rocking a festival.
'Everyone Gets Everything They Want' marks Morello's first solo rock album and his 22nd record overall. It also includes collaborations with Serj Tankian, Beartooth, and Morello's son, Roman.
Kneecap released their second album, 'Fenian', in May, which received a four-and-a-half-star review from NME. The trio has since announced a world tour for 'Fenian', with UK and Ireland dates scheduled to start on November 28 in Southampton and conclude on December 16 in Dublin.
