Kristin Scott Thomas is currently starring in a new adaptation of Anton Chekhov’s 'The Cherry Orchard' at the Harold Pinter Theatre, which has been awarded a four-star review. Scott Thomas takes on the role of Lyubov Ranevskaya, an eccentric matriarch facing the potential loss of her family estate.
Stephen Mangan also features in the production as Yermolay Lopakhin, a merchant who proposes buying the estate but plans to fell the prized cherry orchard. The play, adapted by Conor McPherson and Ian Rickson, is noted for leaning into the script’s farcical elements.
The production of 'The Cherry Orchard' is scheduled to run until January 9.
