Lammonby Ton Revives Somerset's One-Day Cup Hopes

Somerset secured a significant victory over Surrey, largely due to Tom Lammonby's century, keeping their One-Day Cup qualification hopes alive. Elsewhere, Leicestershire maintained their lead in Group A, while Middlesex remained top of Group B.

Somerset kept their aspirations for the latter stages of the One-Day Cup alive with a dominant victory against Surrey. Opener Tom Lammonby was the star, hitting 114 runs in a substantial partnership with captain Lewis Goldsworthy, contributing to Somerset's massive 188-run win at Taunton.

In Group A, Leicestershire continued their strong form, securing a three-wicket victory over Warwickshire to maintain their position at the top of the group. Nottinghamshire also had a comfortable six-wicket win against Northamptonshire, while Lancashire defeated Gloucestershire by four wickets.

Meanwhile, Middlesex remains at the summit of Group B after clinching a tight victory over Durham. Yorkshire all-but sealed their progress from Group B with a five-wicket win against Derbyshire. In a thrilling encounter, Essex edged past Glamorgan by just three runs, and holders Worcestershire Rapids chased down 334 against Sussex, with captain Jake Libby scoring an unbeaten century.
