Lando Norris extends McLaren contract until at least 2030

Lando Norris, the reigning Formula One world champion, has announced a new multi-year contract with McLaren, committing him to the team until at least 2030. The 26-year-old, who made his F1 debut with McLaren in 2019, described the team as like “a second family”.

Norris's previous contract was due to conclude at the end of the current year. He stated that he had not considered leaving McLaren, despite approaches from other teams.

The British driver, who secured his first Grand Prix win in 2024 and the F1 title in 2025, expressed his desire to spend his entire career with McLaren. He cited the team's environment and the relationships he has built as central to his decision.
