Later… With Jools Holland returns next month with Marr, Jamie T, and more

The 69th series of Later… With Jools Holland is set to premiere on BBC Two on Sunday, October 11, featuring a lineup including Johnny Marr, Jamie T, Violet Grohl, and Bloc Party.

The long-running music show, Later… With Jools Holland, is scheduled to return next month for its 69th series. The programme will premiere on BBC Two on Sunday, October 11, featuring live performances and interviews filmed at Alexandra Palace Theatre in London.

The first episode is set to include Paul Heaton, who will perform in support of his solo album, 'Jenius'. Also making their TV debuts on the show will be Skye Newman, Mary In The Junkyard, DC3, and Dermot Henry.

Johnny Marr, former Smiths guitarist, is confirmed to speak with host Jools Holland on the first episode about his new solo record, 'The Age Of Everything', which is due out on Friday, October 2.

Additional artists confirmed to appear across the series include Jamie T, Bloc Party, Violet Grohl, Royal Blood, Tony Iommi, Courtney Barnett, Dexys Midnight Runners, Kingfishr, Shygirl, Corto.Alto, Ayanna Witter-Johnson, Elkie Brooks, Ibibio Sound Machine, Madra Salach, Moses Boyd, Mulaa Joans, and Emily Bear.
