The O2 in east London is poised to host the ninth edition of the Laver Cup this weekend, with Team Europe and Team World ready to battle it out. This annual Ryder Cup-style tennis event, played on indoor hard courts, will see six-man teams compete over three days.
Team Europe, led by captain Yannick Noah, boasts stars such as Carlos Alcaraz and Alexander Zverev. Their opponents, Team World, are captained by Andre Agassi and feature players including Alex de Minaur and Taylor Fritz.
The competition awards points differently each day: one point per match on Friday, two points on Saturday, and three points on Sunday. The first team to reach 13 points will claim victory. If the teams are tied at 12-12, a one-set doubles match will decide the winner. All matches are best-of-three tie-break sets, with a 10-point tie-break replacing a full third set.
Team Europe has historically performed well, winning five of the eight editions. However, Team World has shown recent strength, securing three of the last four titles, including last year's event in San Francisco.
Tickets for all five sessions throughout the weekend are still available. Prices vary from £64 for upper-level seats to £1,745 for premium hospitality packages.
