Leeds Rhinos achieved a dramatic 24-22 victory over Wakefield Trinity, coming back from a 16-point deficit to establish a four-point lead at the top of the Super League table. The Rhinos, led by Brad Arthur, were trailing 22-6 with half an hour remaining in the match against second-placed Wakefield.
Leeds scored three unanswered tries, with Chris Hankinson securing the final try with just three minutes left in the game. Jake Connor then kicked the decisive conversion, moving the Rhinos closer to securing top spot ahead of the playoffs.
Wakefield had initially taken control, with Jack Sinfield's kick leading to Isaiah Vagana's try, followed by Caleb Hamlin-Uele's score. Jayden Myers also crossed the line, putting Trinity ahead 16-0. Brodie Croft scored for Leeds before half-time, narrowing the deficit to 16-6.
After the restart, Sinfield extended Wakefield's lead again. However, Leeds fought back with tries from James McDonnell and Cam Smith, making it a four-point game before Hankinson's late try sealed the win.
