Leeds United are hosting rivals Manchester United today in a Premier League fixture at Elland Road, with kick-off set for 2pm BST. Leeds have had a strong start to the season and a victory could see them climb above Liverpool into fifth place in the league standings.
In contrast, Manchester United are facing their worst league start in 40 years, placing manager Michael Carrick under considerable pressure. Defender Lisandro Martínez recently apologised for comments made about the club's hierarchy and investment following a Champions League defeat.
Carrick has stated that issues between Martínez and Manchester United's director of football, Jason Wilcox, are resolved. Martínez is part of the squad travelling to Elland Road.
Why this matters: The match carries significant implications for both teams, with Leeds potentially improving their league position and Manchester United seeking to reverse a challenging start to their season.
