Leicestershire have been relegated from Division One of the Rothesay County Championship after being bowled out for 125 by title-chasing Warwickshire at Edgbaston. This demotion is subject to an appeal against a points deduction.

The visitors chose to bat first, but their innings saw only Ben Cox (33) and Sol Budinger (27) offer significant resistance. Ethan Bamber took 4-42 and Chris Woakes claimed 3-20 for Warwickshire.

Warwickshire then reached 130-4 by the close of play on day one, with Sam Hain scoring 37 not out.
