Liverpool have entered into negotiations with Inter Milan concerning the potential sale of midfielder Curtis Jones to the Italian champions. While a deal has not yet been agreed, discussions between the two clubs are ongoing.
Inter Milan had previously shown interest in Jones at the end of the January transfer window and made a €25m (£21.4m) bid in June, which Liverpool rejected. Liverpool reportedly valued Jones closer to €40m (£34.2m) at that time.
Liverpool may agree to a sum of around €35m (£30m) for the 25-year-old England international. With Jones in the final year of his contract, Liverpool risk losing him on a free transfer if he is not sold in the coming weeks.
Jones has made 228 appearances for Liverpool, including 49 last season. He ended the previous campaign playing at right-back and reportedly did not start as often as he desired in his preferred central midfield position.
