Liverpool are reportedly nearing a £120m deal for Bradley Barcola, following a significant breakthrough in negotiations with Paris Saint-Germain. The France international winger has been a primary transfer target for Liverpool throughout the summer window.
An outline agreement was reached on Thursday night for a compromise fee. Liverpool has agreed to pay a guaranteed sum of just over £100m, with additional payments based on individual and team success potentially increasing the overall package to around £120m.
Despite the full structure of the deal not yet being finalised, the recent progress in talks, coupled with PSG's willingness to lower their initial £145m asking price, suggests Barcola could complete his move to Merseyside before Tuesday's transfer deadline. Barcola, who has two years remaining on his PSG contract, had previously informed the club he would not sign an extension.
The potential arrival of Barcola would make him Liverpool's second most expensive signing, behind Alexander Isak at £125m. However, the club is still seeking a replacement for Mohamed Salah on the right wing, having had two bids for Yankuba Minteh rejected by Brighton and not yet making an offer for Crystal Palace's Ismaila Sarr.
