Liverpool's pursuit of Brighton winger Yankuba Minteh has hit a snag, with the Seagulls rejecting a £50m bid for the 22-year-old. The Gambia international, who joined Brighton from Newcastle in 2024 for £30m, primarily operates on the right wing.
Minteh has registered 10 goals and nine assists in 73 appearances for Brighton. He is currently recovering from a leg injury sustained earlier this month in a friendly match against Roma.
Reds boss Andoni Iraola is prioritising strengthening his wide attacking options following Mohamed Salah's departure. Liverpool will continue to explore other possibilities in the transfer market.
Paris St-Germain's Bradley Barcola remains a key target for Liverpool, though the clubs are reportedly far apart on their valuation of the 23-year-old French winger. PSG are seeking around £145m, while Liverpool are aiming for a deal closer to £100m. Liverpool previously signed Victor Munoz from Osasuna for £34m this summer, who can play as a winger or through the middle.
