London Luton Airport is offering free bus travel for passengers travelling to and from the airport throughout August. The "Fly and Ride" initiative allows adult passengers to travel free of charge on selected Arriva and Stagecoach bus services by showing a valid printed or digital boarding pass for Luton flights.
The scheme is available from any stop on specified routes across Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire, and Buckinghamshire. It aims to encourage passengers to use public transport instead of private cars, particularly ahead of what the airport predicts will be its busiest summer on record.
The free travel is valid for journeys both to and from the airport. Passengers must have a return journey booked before 31 August to qualify. The initiative does not include National Express and Greenline bus services.
Alberto Martin, CEO of London Luton Airport, stated that the initiative is fully funded by the airport and demonstrates a commitment to reinvesting in transport options that benefit both passengers and communities.
