London's Middle Eastern restaurant scene has experienced a notable expansion over the past year, with a wave of new establishments opening across the city. These new venues join a collection of long-standing favourites, contributing to London's diverse culinary offerings.
Among the recent additions are Kismet, located above The Globe Tavern in Borough Market, which draws inspiration from Istanbul's meyhanes. Kinz, a Lebanese restaurant, has opened in a former Lloyds Bank building in Notting Hill, while Logma in Hackney focuses on Iranian and Iraqi home cooking, quickly becoming known for its generously filled sandwiches.
These new openings complement established eateries like Patogh, a Persian restaurant off Edgware Road known for its kebabs, and Diwan Dimas, a deli on Edgware Road specialising in Damascene sweets. Akub, a Palestinian restaurant in Notting Hill, also combines traditional flavours with modern influences.
