The countdown to Mad Cool's 10th anniversary has just begun, with the Spanish music festival unleashing a game-changing site overhaul that promises to deliver the ultimate live sound experience for fans. Scheduled to blast off from July 8-11 at the Iberdrola Music Villaverde site, this year's edition will see a fresh map and raft of upgrades designed to keep pace with the ever-growing enthusiasm of its devoted following – including thousands of Brits who make the pilgrimage each summer.
For 2026, Mad Cool is dialling back the number of stages from six to five, while reconfiguring their positions across the site for a more premium experience. The revamped Main Stage will be the star of the show, boasting an expanded screen setup spanning 480 square metres and an electrifying visual design that'll transport you into the world of your favourite headliners.
But it's not just about the main event – Stage 2 Orange is making a big move to the south-west area, bringing with it upgraded audio-visual production and an impressive 90-square-metre LED screen show. Meanwhile, Stages 4 Mahou Cinco Estrellas and 5 Mahou Reserva are getting a capacity boost, allowing even more festival-goers to soak up the atmosphere.
The cherry on top? Comfort and amenities have also been given a major revamp – food and drink areas in the chill-out zones are being expanded, while shaded areas across the site have increased by 40%. It's clear that Mad Cool is pulling out all the stops for its milestone year.
And what a line-up it promises to be! Pulp, Foo Fighters, Florence & The Machine, and Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds are just a few of the British and international giants joining forces for an unforgettable four days. Other must-see acts include Twenty One Pilots, Lorde, CMAT, Wolf Alice, Jennie, Moby, The Last Dinner Party, Kings Of Leon, The War On Drugs, Halsey, Teddy Swims, Pixies, The Black Crowes, and David Byrne – not to mention emerging stars Liens Très Dengereux, Yulie, Ksal, and Color, who took the top spot in this year's Mad Cool DJ Talent competition.
And just when you thought it couldn't get any bigger, The Vaccines have shifted their performance slot to Wednesday, July 8. Last year saw a stellar line-up that included Olivia Rodrigo, Noah Kahan, and Nine Inch Nails – proof that Mad Cool truly is the go-to destination for music fans worldwide.
