Possible stopover locations under the programme include Kuala Lumpur, Langkawi, Penang, and parts of Malaysian Borneo such as Kota Kinabalu in Sabah or Miri in Sarawak.
The year 2027 will also see the expansion of Malaysia's East Coast Rail Link, which is expected to improve access to this region of the country.
