A 28-year-old man has died following a stabbing in east London. Met Police and the London Ambulance Service were called to Lloyd Baker Street, Clerkenwell, at approximately 23:20 BST on Wednesday after reports of a knife attack.

The victim was discovered with stab wounds and was taken to hospital, where he later died from his injuries. His family has been informed and is receiving support, according to the Met.

A murder investigation has been launched, and police were granted Section 60 stop and search powers in the area after the incident, allowing officers to search individuals without the usual requirement of reasonable suspicion. No arrests have been made in connection with the death.
