Man arrested after stolen bus crashes into cars in Telford

A man has been arrested after a single-decker bus was stolen and driven into multiple parked cars in Telford.

A man has been arrested after a single-decker bus was stolen and subsequently crashed into several parked cars in Telford. The incident, which took place on Friday at approximately 18:35 BST in Court Street, saw the bus driver assaulted before the vehicle was taken.

West Mercia Police reported that the man drove the bus along Park Way towards the High Street. Officers eventually stopped the vehicle and arrested a man in his 20s on suspicion of robbery and dangerous driving. He remains in police custody as inquiries continue.

The bus driver received treatment from paramedics for minor injuries. Police stated that no one else was believed to have been hurt in the incident.
