A man has been detained in Germany on suspicion of the fatal stabbing of a 31-year-old British woman in Rosenheim early on Sunday morning, local authorities said.
According to Rosenheim police, the woman was attacked at the city’s train station and later died in a nearby hospital from serious injuries. Federal police officers detained the suspect, identified as a 27-year-old German man from Fürstenfeldbruck county, immediately after the stabbing.
Police did not release the names of the victim or the suspect, in line with German privacy rules. They are investigating the circumstances and motive, and have asked any witnesses to come forward, specifically inquiring if anyone saw an argument or physical altercation at the train station between Saturday night and early Sunday.
