A 21-year-old man from Ilkeston is now facing serious charges following the crash on Friday afternoon, which involved two vehicles on Derby Road. The accused individual has been formally charged with causing serious injury by dangerous driving, criminal damage – recklessly endangering life, failing to provide a specimen for analysis, and assault.
According to eyewitness accounts and police reports, the BMW vehicle travelled an alarming distance within the bowling alley, crossing all 16 lanes before coming to a stop on the opposite side of the building. The incident has left MFA Bowl severely damaged, forcing the venue to close its doors until further notice, much to the dismay of local residents and regular customers.
