A man has been charged with murder following a stabbing incident in Ramsgate on Sunday, 23 August, which resulted in one death. Kent Police were called to reports of a man with a knife near the harbour area at 04:47 BST.
Officers attended Harbour Street and Harbour Parade where two men had sustained injuries. Both were taken to hospital, where 52-year-old Ashley Jones later died.
Kieran O'Rourke, 21, of Seafield Mews, Ramsgate, has been charged with murder, causing grievous bodily harm with intent, attempted murder, and possession of a bladed article in a public place. The second victim, a 48-year-old man, has since been released from hospital. A third man, aged 45, was identified as a victim but did not sustain injuries.
Mr O'Rourke is scheduled to appear at Margate Magistrates' Court on Wednesday.
