Man charged with rape of 14-year-old boy in Portsmouth

A man has been charged with the alleged rape of a 14-year-old boy in Portsmouth, according to police. He also faces charges of stalking and criminal damage.

Sadiq Farhad Azad, 33, has been charged with multiple offences, including the alleged rape of a 14-year-old boy in Portsmouth, Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary said.

Police stated the alleged incident took place between 19:00 and 20:00 BST on 11 August in an alley off London Road. The force added that the man was not previously known to the child, who they had spoken to on a bus.

Mr Azad, an Iraqi national of no fixed abode, has also been charged with allegedly stalking a woman in her 20s over a year, and criminal damage to a car belonging to a family member of the alleged victim. He was remanded in custody and was due to appear at Portsmouth Crown Court on Monday.
