Manchester City are reportedly eyeing a late, big-money move for Chelsea's Enzo Fernandez, potentially intensifying competition for places in their midfield. This comes as new City boss Enzo Maresca seeks a second consecutive win tonight against Crystal Palace.

Chelsea, however, are now understood to want a higher price than £120m for the Argentina international. This shift in valuation is partly attributed to rising summer market valuations, with City themselves having paid £116m for Elliot Anderson this summer.

Meanwhile, City's new midfielder Ayyoub Bouaddi could make his debut at Selhurst Park tonight. Crystal Palace will be without Ismaila Sarr and Chadi Riad due to injury, while Axel Disasi, on loan from Chelsea, could feature for the Eagles. Jeremy Doku is ruled out for City, and Matheus Nunes may be limited to a bench role.

The match between Crystal Palace and Manchester City is scheduled to kick off at 8pm BST tonight at Selhurst Park.
