Manchester City are reportedly in advanced talks with Lille regarding a move for Morocco midfielder Ayyoub Bouaddi. The Premier League side aims to finalise the transfer this week, following an agreement to sell Rodri to Barcelona.
Lille is understood to value the 18-year-old at 100 million euros, which equates to approximately £85.6 million. Bouaddi made his debut for Lille in October 2023 and has since played 88 times for the club, helping them secure a third-place finish in Ligue 1 last season.
Bouaddi also impressed at this summer's World Cup, starting all five of Morocco's matches as they reached the quarter-finals. He previously gained significant attention for his role in Lille's Champions League victory over Real Madrid in 2024.
Spain captain Rodri is expected to complete a £65 million move to Barcelona on a four-year contract in the coming days. The 30-year-old, who won the 2024 Ballon d'Or, has made 298 appearances for City over seven seasons.
