A 74-year-old man has met a tragic end after being involved in a devastating collision near Twickenham Bridge, prompting an extensive investigation by the Metropolitan Police into the circumstances surrounding his death. The pedestrian was struck by a vehicle on Thursday, 20th June, at approximately 9:30 PM on Richmond Road, close to the bridge.
Emergency services were swiftly deployed to the scene after reports of a serious collision reached police headquarters. Paramedics from the London Ambulance Service provided critical care, and despite their valiant efforts, the pedestrian's injuries proved fatal. He was pronounced dead in hospital on Sunday, 23rd June.
