A man in his 40s has died after being shot by Bedfordshire Police following an overnight standoff at a property in Bedford. The incident, which began late on Monday evening, concluded in the early hours of Tuesday morning after officers engaged with the individual who had barricaded himself inside a home.
Police were initially called to an address at approximately 10:40 pm on Monday, 22nd July, responding to reports of vehicles being damaged. Upon arrival, officers discovered a man who had secured himself within a residential property and was reportedly making threats.
