Man Utd Poised to Offload Two Goalkeepers, Vitek Nears £14m Middlesbrough Move

Manchester United are set to offload goalkeepers Radek Vitek and Altay Bayindir as manager Michael Carrick continues to reshape his squad.

  • Radek Vitek is nearing a permanent transfer to Middlesbrough, potentially worth up to £14 million.
  • Altay Bayindir is preparing for a season-long loan move to La Liga side Celta Vigo.
  • These departures follow Andre Onana's loan return to Trabzonspor, with Senne Lammens and Karl Darlow now in the goalkeeping ranks.

Manchester United are poised to offload two goalkeepers, with Radek Vitek set to join Middlesbrough in a deal that could be worth up to £14 million. The 22-year-old Czech shot-stopper is nearing a permanent switch to last season’s Championship play-off finalists following an impressive loan spell at Bristol City. United have reportedly secured matching rights and a buy-back option as part of the agreement, which includes bonuses and a sell-on clause of up to 35 per cent.

Meanwhile, Turkey international Altay Bayindir, 28, is close to finalising a season-long loan to La Liga side Celta Vigo. The temporary departure includes performance-related bonuses, with the Spanish club also covering his wages. Celta Vigo will reportedly have the opportunity to make the move permanent for a fee of £3.5 million, which would also include a sell-on clause for United.

These moves follow Andre Onana’s return to Trabzonspor on loan, signalling a significant reshuffle in United's goalkeeping ranks. Manager Michael Carrick is actively restructuring his squad this summer, with number one Senne Lammens now joined by summer signing Karl Darlow. The club has also signed Andrey Santos from Chelsea and Youri Tielemans from Aston Villa, with more signings expected before the transfer window closes.
