  • Eva Olid, 40, is set to be appointed as Manchester United's women's manager.
  • Olid previously guided Hearts to their first Scottish Women's Premier League title last campaign.
  • Marc Skinner left his role as United's women's manager by mutual consent on Monday.

Manchester United are reportedly set to appoint former Hearts boss Eva Olid as their new women's manager. The 40-year-old Spaniard is understood to be meeting the United squad on Wednesday as the club finalises her appointment.

Olid's potential arrival follows Marc Skinner's departure from the role by mutual consent on Monday, a month before the Women's Super League (WSL) season begins. Olid left Hearts this summer after guiding the Scottish Women's Premier League (SWPL) club to their first league title last campaign.

She joined Hearts in 2021 and also led the Edinburgh side to their first domestic final, the 2024 Scottish Cup, where they lost to Rangers. United are set to kick off their WSL season against London City Lionesses on 4 September.
