An independent commission has found Manchester City guilty of breaching the Premier League's financial rules over a nine-season period. The judgment stated that City benefited from more than £900m of disguised funding between 2009 and 2018.

During this period, the club won three top-flight titles, including one where Liverpool finished second. City manager Enzo Maresca has expressed 'complete trust' in the club, which has launched an appeal against the verdict.

Manchester City is set to play Liverpool today, Sunday 11 October, at Anfield.
