Manchester United have agreed to loan Turkey international goalkeeper Altay Bayindir to Celta Vigo for the season. The Spanish club will reportedly pay all of Bayindir's wages during his loan spell and have an option to buy him for £3.5m, which would also include a high sell-on clause for United.

Bayindir, 28, joined United in 2023 for £4.3m from Fenerbahce. He made 17 appearances in his three seasons at Old Trafford and started last season as first-choice before losing his place to Senne Lammens.

This move is part of an ongoing squad overhaul at United, particularly within their goalkeeping ranks, under Michael Carrick. United have signed Karl Darlow from Leeds as Lammens' deputy, loaned Andre Onana to Trabzonspor, and are reportedly set to sell Radek Vitek to Middlesbrough for up to £14 million. The club has also brought in outfield players, including Andrey Santos from Chelsea and Youri Tielemans from Aston Villa, as they prepare for a return to the Champions League.
